Common Bosch questions

My Bosch dishwasher flashes E15. What does that mean?+

E15 means water is in the base pan — usually from a leaky hose or sump seal. We drain, dry and find the source before it damages anything.

Why does my Bosch dishwasher come out wet?+

Most often a clogged filter, a failing heating element, or rinse aid running out. We clean and test all three on the visit.

My Bosch washer shows an error code and won't spin.+

Codes like E21 or E25 point to drain issues or the pump filter. Clearing the filter often fixes it; if not, we replace the pump.

Does a Bosch dishwasher really need special detergent?+

It needs low-phosphate detergent and rinse aid for drying. Wrong soap causes suds overflow and error codes — we'll note the right settings when we're there.

// Repair tips

Keep your Bosch running

TIP 01

Clean the filter monthly

Bosch dishwashers rely on a clean three-part filter. Food debris buildup is the top cause of poor wash and smells.

TIP 02

Use rinse aid

Bosch dry cycles depend on rinse aid to sheet water off dishes. Refill before it runs empty.

TIP 03

Run the hot water first

Bosch dishwashers pull water mid-cycle. Running the sink faucet hot before starting helps wash temperatures.

TIP 04

Level the washer before first use

Bosch compact washers must be perfectly level — an unlevel unit throws balance codes like E17 or E18.
